Why Charter Schools?

SCHOOL CHOICE

Denver families especially have overwhelmingly supported the freedom to choose what school their children attend through voting on measures in our fair state.  This not only allows parents to ensure that they are attending a school that aligns with their personal family values, it also adds an incentive for schools to excel, get academic results from students, and to ensure that they are innovative and personal in the way they teach.

Students who attend HOPE at Novation Academy can join regardless of what district they happen to reside in, provided that the parents can transport the child to school each day.

VALUES ALIGNMENT

Many parents object to the “extras” that schools teach.  Whether it is politcal partisanship, cultural issues, or even religious oppression that is rampant in public schools, there are myriad reasons that parents want to ensure that their children are enriching their lives through knowledge.

HOPE at Novation Academy is dedicated to avoiding issues, while also helping students to find objective truth for themselves.  Students are taught critical thought, or HOW to think, versus the common issue with public school, where they are taught to recite facts.

COMMUNITY

HOPE at Novation Academy believes that ultimately it is community that teaches and cares for students.  Parents are encouraged to attend classes with their children, participate in school functions, and to help any time they can.  Although this is not required, parent involvement is fundamental to efficiently and effectively teaching a student.

We even encourage parents to come and teach students if they possess skill sets that are aligned with lessons.

THE FAMILY

The family unit is the most important thing in a student’s life.  Charter schools like HOPE at Novation Academy work to build your student up within your boundaries and expectations.

Novation Academy is simply a tool in your parenting and teaching of your student.  We believe that the parent is the ultimate authority in a child’s school career, and we are here to support you, not subvert you.

HOPE Mission & Values

Novation Academy is a part of the HOPE Online Learning Academy Co-op charter school model.  That means that, while the school itself is new, the infrastructure and organization has been standing up charter schools for decades.

HOPE at Novation Academy launches in the ’24-’25 school year, and because of the relationship that they have with HOPE, your child will get a time tested education with ultimate support.
